Oil Tanker and Cargo Vessel Collide in Bay of Bridlington, Rescue Operation Underway
A major maritime incident has occurred in the Bay of Bridlington, where an oil tanker and a cargo vessel have collided in the Westermost Rough area.
The RNLI, firefighting teams, and the Humber Coastguard are leading the emergency response. A Coastguard fixed-wing aircraft and firefighting vessels are also en route.
The rescue operation is being coordinated from Limekiln Lane in Bridlington. Authorities have yet to confirm the extent of the damage or any potential environmental risks.

According to MarineTraffic, the Stena Immaculate had arrived from Agioi Theodoroi, Greece, and was anchored outside Hull. The Solong was en route from Grangemouth, Scotland, to Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Tracking data indicates the collision occurred at approximately 09:48 GMT. FlightRadar24 shows a coastguard helicopter in the area, while multiple offshore vessels are positioned near both ships.
